It has been a big couple of weeks for Wedding Guide wedding professional Amar Cosmetics. Along with national coverage because of their celebrity hairstylist Giacomo Forbes from Bravo’s Shear Genius setting up shop in San Antonio and the Austin area, Amar hosted an open house featuring all of their amazing products and talented staff. And to put the cherry on top of their cake, San Antonio Magazine just named them “Best of in the City” in the category of Beauty Shops.

Amar’s event had all of the Quarry tenants and customers buzzing with all the festivities. Along with lovely things to nosh on and bottles of wine being uncorked every few minutes, a silent auction, on the spot beauty makeovers, consultations, and live tango music in the background to add to the sassy atmosphere of the evening.

It is all about family with this group of talented professionals. San Antonio provides the kind of community and family in which Deborah and Giacomo love separately for their children. Deborah has sons that are avid hockey players here in town (yes, I said hockey) and enjoys cheering for her boys every chance she gets, while Giacomo balances both Austin and San Antonio for clientele but still makes his three children his first priority. Both of these professionals have spent enough time in the limelight on the west and east coast and boast many celebrity clients, but know at the end of the day, providing a good home life for their kids outweighs the glitz and glamour that might keep them away from precious memories with their families.
